Los Angeles Angels Star Mike Trout Makes Catch Of Year, Takes Away Home Run From Baltimore Orioles Shortstop JJ Hardy
Mike Trout of the Los Angeles Angels is simply a superstar in the making. Heck, he might even be one and the kid is not old enough to legally drink. That is how good he is and he is a big reason for the Angels being one of the hottest teams in baseball. Wednesday night, he skied up to rob a home run from Baltimore Orioles shortstop JJ Hardy.
Don’t get me wrong, Gregor Blanco had a great catch during Matt Cain’s perfect game, but just look at how high up Trout gets on this play. He is fully extended and still barely sno-cones it. That is the most important part of the play to me. It took his full extension and he still almost missed it.
If Mike Trout wins the MVP award, do not be surprised. He is that good. The Angels have a superstar under control and he will be a nightmare for teams for years to come. The AL West may have been won when the Angels called up Trout. He is making Albert Pujols looking like just a piece to help Trout dominate.
If you get a chance to watch Mike Trout play baseball, savor it. Not many talents like him come around very often. He can hit for average and power, swipe bases, and make incredibly defensive plays. He is the total package. He and Bryce Harper are going to dominate headlines for years to come and there is nothing wrong with that.
