Bryce Harper Tries To Recruit Giancarlo To Nationals On Twitter

Giancarlo Stanton might be the only decent player left on the Miami Marlins and he is not happy. He took to Twitter to vent and it has generated quite a few responses. One of the more interesting responses came from newly minted NL Rookie of the Year, Bryce Harper.

Harper always has a bit of fun with his Twitter account, so you might as well attempt to sell Stanton on the Washington Nationals.  I mean, look at the offer the Marlins just accepted.  It might not take a lot to pry Stanton away from the Marlins.

I am sure that the Marlins are not thinking about trading Stanton, but I guess you never know.  Stranger things have happened and the team is clearly not interested in competing anytime soon.  The Nats have a really good farm system so they could part with some pieces to get Stanton into the fold.

Of course, there is probably nothing to make out of this but it does make for a fun little story.   I have almost forgotten what we did before Twitter.  It supplies so many great stories for all of us to focus on.   If Stanton does end up getting moved, I would expect a lot of teams to show interest.  Maybe Harper’s Tweet could be the thing that put it all into motion.
