My bold 2013 Toronto Blue Jays prediction involves arguably the best power hitter in all of baseball. Jose Bautista has been the most prolific power hitter in all of baseball for the past three seasons. Even after missing half of last season with a freak wrist injury Bautista has still clubbed more home runs than any other major league player over the last three seasons.

J.Bautista 124
M.Cabrera 112
A.Pujols 109
C.Granderson 108
J.Hamilton 100
P.Fielder 100

Joey Bats is now healthy and has the supporting cast around him in Toronto to dominate like never before.
In 2010, Bautista had his breakout season dialing long distance 54 times for a Blue Jays team that finished four games above .500. Bautista finished 4th that year in MVP voting losing out to Josh Hamilton.

Bautista continued his torrid home run pace in 2011 belting 43 home runs and again leading the league in round trippers. Bautista finished 3rd in MVP balloting on a lack lustre Jays team that finished with a 79-83 record hurting his chances greatly at the award.

In 2012, Bautista was on pace for another 50 plus home run season when he suffered a wrist injury swinging the bat. The injury sidelined Bautista for the remainder of the season and required surgery to repair.

Fast forward to 2013, Bautista is healthy and the Blue Jays are poised for their best season in years. This will be the year that the bearded slugger puts his mark on baseball supremacy. So step aside Trout, Cabrera and Hamilton, the MVP is coming north of the border.
