The Two Jose’s Are Toronto Blue Jays Key To The World Series
The Toronto Blue Jays are the talk of the town this spring due to the offseason overhaul of players the Jays front office manoeuvred. The Blue Jays are favoured to finish first in the American League East and advance to the postseason for the first time since 1993.
That is if their two Jose’s live up to expectations and produce the way they are capable of producing.
If the Blue Jays are going to put Canada back on the baseball map it all starts and ends with Jose Bautista and Jose Reyes. Both players will be relied upon heavily to contribute in monstrous proportions if the Jays are going to succeed.
Home run king Jose Bautista is fully recovered from wrist surgery and hoping to put the injury behind him. In saying that, Joey Bats has struggled this spring batting .167 in minimal albeit with two classic Bautista moon shots.
On the flip side the newly acquired Jose Reyes is off to a superb start in his new digs batting .643 in five games. Reyes will be the key to jump starting the Jays offense with his bat and speed at the top of the order.
If both Bautista and Reyes find a way to stay healthy and put up their normal All-Star numbers the Blue Jays will be poised for something special come October. Mind you everything looks good on paper in March.
