If by chance you happen to find yourself in close proximity to Baltimore Orioles slugger Chris Davis, you might want to think twice before asking for an autograph. There is a high likelihood that you might get burned because Davis is absolutely on fire. There was whisper somewhere along the line that Davis was getting another chance this season. Well, I’ll say he is pretty well taking advantage proving anyone that thought he might struggle wrong.

Briefly take a look at these stats through three games. Davis has seven hits in eleven at-bats with two walks. He has three homers and three doubles as well as eleven RBI. That creates a monster stat line of .636 average, .692 on base percentage, 1.727 slugging percentage and an incredible 2.420 OPS. There really isn’t a way that I can give that justice with words so I will just say that he is doing well.

Seriously have you ever seen an OPS that high even three games into the year? It is a surety that he won’t keep going at this clip. Still, Davis is putting the league on notice that he is seeing the ball extremely well and at the very least isn’t missing any mistakes. Truthfully he is hitting good pitches out of the park as well. Until he cools down a little bit, this will be a fun story to watch. If things keep going he could have the best first week or even first month in a while. Again, it should be fun to watch.
