Toronto Blue Jays‘ Adam Lind is having a month to remember so far in June. He leads the team in just about every offensive category, including batting average and RBI. He’s been by far the most consistent Blue Jays player all season, but for how long can he keep up this torrid pace?
Heading into Monday night’s game against the Chicago White Sox, Lind, for the month of June, is batting .467 (14-for-30) with 2 HR and 7 RBI, which puts him a top the team. But it also has him in the top five of the league in hits for the month.
Lind has not been the same since his 2009 breakout season, and that’s been noted countless of times in the past few years. But with the way he has been playing this season, it looks more and more evident that he is returning to the play that had him crush 30 home runs and 100 RBI in the majors.
He leads the team in average by a mile, and has shown patience at the plate like we’ve never seen from Lind before. He’s even been a go to for John Gibbons this season by putting him in the fifth spot in the order and has even seen considerable amount of time at first base. The Jays can’t keep him out of the lineup, not even for a game, so they’ve found him a place to play in almost every game over the past few months.
He’ll look to continue his dream month with a little road trip in Chicago where he’s had success in the past.
