New York Yankees’ C.C. Sabathia Could Finally be on the Right Track
C. C. Sabathia of the New York Yankees is starting to pitch much better. He tends to get better as the season goes on. He has won his last two starts. Even though his ERA is still a concerning 3.74, wins are always good. The wins are especially important because the Yankees are fighting for a playoff spot, and even though it is only June, you can never have too many wins. Sabathia is considered to be the Yankees’ ace. In order to be an ace, you need to win games.
Sabathia is going up against the Oakland Athletics tonight. This is a good thing but it is also not very easy. Sabathia is from the Bay Area and he is 2-0 with a 2.49 ERA in his last three starts in Oakland. However, he is also 0-2 in his last two road starts and the A’s are one of the best teams in baseball this season. If Sabathia wants to show that he is getting back on the right track, a win against Oakland would be great.
The next two starts for Sabathia will be on the road. Tonight at Oakland and Sunday in Los Angeles. It would be great if Sabathia can win these next two starts. The Yankees tend to struggle on the West Coast, so two wins would be a plus. I am hoping that C.C.’s last two wins are not a fluke. He has struggled a lot this season and now is a good time to pick things up.
C.C. Sabathia has won his last two starts and is going for a third straight win tonight. A win tonight in Oakland would be a great turning point.
