Jim Harbaugh is a Fan of Oakland Athletics; Will This Help Team’s Stadium Saga?

Apparently Jim Harbaugh, the head coach of the San Francisco 49ers, is a fan of the Oakland Athletics. The fiery coach, who chauffeured Brandon Belt during the San Francisco Giants 2012 World Series Parade, showed up at the O.co Coliseum with his A’s cap on and his glove ready to go on Friday night.

It’s unclear, however, if the coach was enjoying himself during the Athletics’ 6-1 win over the St. Louis Cardinals. In what makes for a great moment in sports GIF history, an apparently livid Harbaugh can be seen scowling as a young fan plays in the seat next to him.

It’s classic Harbaugh and great stuff for the Athletics. The former Stanford coach has been on quite the offseason tour as he’s popped up courtside at Golden State Warriors playoff games, drove the pace car at the Indy 500 and sat-in on a taping of the “Judge Judy Show.”

Now Harbaugh is stopping by at the Coliseum to take in some Athletics baseball. Wherever Harbaugh goes, attention seems to follow him. So if the coach wants to make the O.co the backdrop for his next hilarious scowl, I think the team should do everything it can to oblige him.

After all, Harbaugh is the public face of the other highly-successful Bay Area sports franchise that plays in a outdated facility.

It just so happens that his team has begun to build a sweet new one. Perhaps the outspoken coach can do the cross-bay club a favor and provide some ridiculous outtake on the Athletics’ seemingly endless stadium saga. MLB doesn’t seem to care what the Athletics have to say, but perhaps Harbaugh can get the league’s attention.
