Fitting for Los Angeles Dodgers to Clinch Division on Road Trip

For all the talk about the Atlanta Braves scuffling their way through the month of September, the Los Angeles Dodgers at least deserve a mention or two. They have played every bit as badly as the Braves and that fact is proven by the fact that they never have overtaken the Braves as the best record in the National League. Still, as with the Braves, the Dodgers are basically a win away from clinching their division. Sadly it will happen on the road trip instead of at home.

Honestly for this team that fits them perfectly though. They are the best road team of any of the division leaders and if anything seem to perform even better when they are away from their friendly confines in Los Angeles. So, considering all of that, why not clinch the thing on the road? It could happen at any time as their magic number was only 2 going into their game against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Wednesday.

Whenever it happens for them, it will be time for some serious celebration. Mostly of all it will be time for a little bit of rest and relaxation on their part. The starting rotation will need to be set the way Don Mattingly wants it for the postseason while at the same time giving them time to rest everyone. At this point in the season some of the best teams are just in need of a breather. That is what will happen for the Dodgers when they clinch and they deserve it.
