Freddie Freeman Will Be Difference-Maker for Atlanta Braves in NLDS

Freddie Freeman is one of the most complete players in all of baseball. His numbers of .319 BA, 23 home runs and 109 RBIs should at least keep him in the conversation for National League MVP, considering he carried a lineup that featured two regulars batting under .200 for the season.

Because of this, he will be the difference-maker in the Atlanta Braves‘ NLDS matchup against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Going by the splits, Freeman does it all. He particularly excelled at his home ballpark this season, batting .343 with 16 of his 23 home runs. Having home-field advantage gives the chance of an extra game for Freeman at Turner Field. He also hit .295 on the road, proving his versatility.

The Dodgers own a lethal lefty-righty combination at the top of their rotation with Clayton Kershaw and Zack Greinke. Freeman should be able to handle both because as a left-handed hitter he actually has really good splits, batting .334 right-handed but still able to hit .287 left-handed.

Freeman has also already proved his success against the Dodgers this season, hitting at a .346 clip (9-for-26) with four RBIs.

Lastly, Freeman is red hot and was absolutely crushing the ball during the month of September. He posted his highest monthly average on the season at .380, his highest home run total with six, and his second-highest RBI total with 21.

To sum it up, Freeman can hit any pitcher at any park, and he is red hot right now. Look out, Dodgers, because Freeman will be the difference in this series.
