It’s been a rough couple of months for Curt Schilling. The former All-Star pitcher revealed in February that he had been diagnosed with cancer and that he would be undergoing surgery and therapy to try and beat the disease. Well, here we are in third week of April and it looks like he’s completed an important part of his journey back to full health.

Check out this photo posted on Twitter by Schilling’s wife:

Schilling is now done with radiation therapy, which came just days after it was announced that he was done with chemotherapy.

As you can see, the former pitcher looks rough following his intense battle, but that’s just how it goes when your body is exposed to such treatments. The hard part is now seemingly over for awhile as doctors will wait and see how his body responds.

There’s still no word on what type of cancer Schilling had or what his exact prognosis is, but you have to think the fact that he’s already done with treatments is a good sign.

It’s always said that attitude is a big part of recovery for patients of any kind, and it seems clear that Schilling has a great one. Anybody who’s willing to rock a shirt about superpowers following taxing radiation therapy, clearly has a good sense of humor and a positive attitude.

Here’s to hoping that Schilling is cancer-free and back to 100 percent in the near future.
