The early season has not been quite as good as the Cincinnati Reds had hoped it would be. Worst in that is the fact that the National League Central happens to include one of the best teams in the game right now which will get the Reds behind quickly. If they do get behind and surprisingly stay behind, there could be a few players on the move via the trade block. Here are five that could be included.
Marshall is someone that most anyone could see value in. Pitching is always attractive on the trade market.
A trade of someone like Schumaker really wouldn't happen unless the season was out of hand and then anything is possible. He certainly has a lot of value to a team in contention.
Phillips and his trade rumors have been quieted early this season but a good year could always spring them back to life.
Parra is like Marshall, someone who could be used in any trade cosidering he is a pitcher and is nearing a free agent season soon.
With Mesaraco returning now, it could be easily possible that Pena could see his looming free agent season land him elsewhere.
