MLB Trade Rumors: 5 Kansas City Royals on the Block in 2014

The early part of the season has not been kind to the Kansas City Royals in 2014. Their pitching staff has been okay for the most part but they have struggled overall driving in base runners. Either way however, be it offensive issues or pitching, they have not gotten the job done. That is likely to turn around but if it doesn't you could see the Royals attempt to trade a few guys. Here are some that could be on the block.

Coleman is a decent pitcher and any pitcher that can pitch is able to be traded at any given time. You won't see the top few relievers or starters go but middle of the game relievers certainly will move if someone does.

The same situation applies to Herrera. He might be someone that the Royals could sweeten a deal with down the road, providing they have someone to fill that role.

Outfielders are something that the Royals have plenty of. If another team puts feelers out for a utility style outfielder, they might be willing to throw his name up there for consideration.

Davis is the side of the Tampa trade that has never really seen his full potential. James Shields certainly is untouchable until they attempt to sign him after the season but they might do something different with Davis.

If Butler continues to struggle during certain times and the Royals decide they are not going to re-sign him, they could see what they could get in return. It wouldn't have to be much if they knew they were not going to re-sign him.
