Miami Marlins’ Christian Yelich Should Continue To Hit On The Road
Coming off a sweep of the Seattle Mariners, the Miami Marlins are hitting the road for six games starting with the Atlanta Braves on Monday and finishing on Sunday against the New York Mets. The Marlins have yet to win on the road this season, but the continued hot hitting from some of their key players is going to help the team get a road win this week.
Miami outfielder Christian Yelich is batting .364/.462/.409 in five road games this season. His eight hits, four runs and two RBIs are something the team is going to need to earn a win in one of these six games. In a race for the division early in the season, Miami is playing very well at home but poorly on the road. The next few games are a test for the Marlins to see if they could at least get to 10 wins before the month is over.
Adeiny Hechavarria is another Marlins batter who has to continue his hot hitting on the road. He is 7-for-23 in six road games, but does not have a lot of production coming off of his bat. He has yet to drive in a run on the road this season. He needs to get it done against the Braves and Mets.
What the Marlins need to do is score more runs and keep the home bats at bay. The Marlins have allowed 37 runs on the road and have only scored 18. It is time for the team to wake up a bit and get some wins on this road trip.
