There is one thing that has been standing out in the recent stretch of Miami Marlins victories: The Marlins are very good at Marlins Park.

The Marlins picked up their 16th win of the season and 14th win at home this season. Miami has won six out of its last eight games dating back to last Saturday on the road against the New York Mets. The Marlins are finishing this week above .500 and only 1.5 games behind Atlanta Braves for first place in the NL East. They are making this division very interesting to watch.

Second baseman Jeff Baker drove in the winning run to seal a series victory against the tough Los Angeles Dodgers. Baker got it done behind a solid Jose Fernandez start, something the Marlins are getting very used to when he pitches.

Giancarlo Stanton has been another reason why Miami is keeping pace in the East. He hit two home runs in the game, his ninth and 10th on the year. To go along with that, he also has 36 RBIs. Stanton is in MVP form early on and is back to being the feared hitter he was a couple of years back.

With the long stretch of games continuing, it will be interesting to see how the Marlins hold up until their next day off.
