The Washington Nationals have put themselves in decent position to make the playoffs after their first 25 games, and it should be fun to see if they can keep the momentum rolling. We all remember what happened the last time they played postseason baseball, and hopefully they learned a bit from that experience. Here are the five things we have discerned, and it includes the issues that they need to work on in the coming months.
They are currently tied for the lead in the division. They could have a pretty decent shot of winning it, thas is if they can hang on until some of their sluggers get back from the DL. Bryce Harper in particular needs to come back, and he needs to work out the issues he has been having with their manager.
Bryce Harper and Ryan Zimmerman are both battling injury trouble, and if they can get back by the end of the year then this team will have enough to contend for a world championship.
He won his latest game against the Dodgers after a bad first inning, but as long as the ace is healthy and pitching well that is pretty much a win for the Nationals.
Calling him a media darling at this point would almost be understating it don't you think? His car was hit during a radio interview, because of a car that was fleeing from the police. Thankfully Williams was not hurt, although his car did sustain some damage.
A lot of you might not have heard of it, but Ramos endured a kidnapping incident in his home country about a year ago. I also believe he had to work his way back from an ACL tear, and so I am always wishing for good things to happen to the Washington National catcher.
