Resurgent Atlanta Braves to Face Tough Test in Colorado Rockies
Even though the Atlanta Braves lost the third game against the Milwaukee Brewers, it is easy to see that they are playing much better. That game of that series came down to two good swings and Kyle Lohse pitching well on the other side. No one should expect the Braves to have a let-up game to end that series or to begin the series against the Colorado Rockies. They are one of the toughest teams in MLB to beat right now.
If you want proof of that, just take a look at how things went for the San Francisco Giants in Colorado; with the point being that they had to play extremely well to beat the Rockies. The same will be true for the Braves over the weekend series. The first thing they will need is good pitching. That usually has been a constant for the Braves and will need to be this weekend against the hot hitting Rockies.
The other side of that coin is the fact that the Braves offense is going to have to continue working well. They ran into a great performance by Lohse but that doesn’t mean the offense is broken because of it. As long as the bats can keep going pretty well and the pitchers show up nicely, they should be able to walk away with a win against one of the toughest teams in the game. For sure to win a series against the Brewers and the Rockies in the same week would make a strong statement for the Braves.
