The Dodgers have a huge payroll and a serious chance at a playoff spot. Take a look at the 5 things we've learned about our boys in blue so far in 2014.

The Dodgers have one of the best rotations in baseball. WIth Kershaw, Josh Beckett, Dan Haren, Zack Greinke and Hyun-Jin Ryu, every game has a great chance of winning. Come playoffs, it's going to be really hard to match a rotation with any four of these starters.

The once dominating Wilson can't seem to find his rhythm in Los Angeles. Sporting an ERA of 5, concerns about WIlson's elbow continue to pop up. He claims he's perfectly healthy, but his performance indicates otherwise. A healthy, productive Wilson is key to the Dodgers continued success.

3. Kenley Jansen Continues His Strange Season

Jansen has been anything but dominating in the 9th this season. Yet somehow, he's on pace for a career high in saves with 40. What's strange about this season is that his career ERA sits at 2.36 and his ERA thus far is a really high 4.13. Jansen might be giving us white knuckle saves, but he just keeps piling them on.

The only gripe about Dee Gordon prior to this season was that he was struggling to get hits. That's all changed this year as he has a .285 average to go with an impressive .340 on-base percentage. Oh, let's not forget he has 40 stolen bases on the year. If he can keep this up, the Dodgers will have their best weapon at the top of the lineup for years to come.

When the Dodgers signed Kershaw to the monster seven year 180 million dollar contract, the big question was whether he would continue to be the dominating pitcher he had been. Oh boy, is he ever. Even with a trip on the disabled list, Kershaw owns an 8-2 record with a 2.24 ERA. Add the fact that he has 94 strikeouts in 74.1 innings, he's just gold. Also, a no hitter is usually impressive too.
