There's just something special about the All-Star break and what it means to baseball. The seemingly unanimous favorite of the events is the Home Run Derby. And why not! Here are the top 10 Home Run Derby performances ever.

10. 2010: David Ortiz

Ortiz never seemed to tire as he put together an incredible show in every round of the 2010 Home Run Derby. He topped it all off with 11 bombs in the final round to wrap it all up.

Knocking balls out of the park at Safeco Field isn't an easy task, but Giambi managed to do it 14 times. He unfortunately couldn't keep the hot bat alive and fell off in the second round.

4. 2011: Robinson Cano

This is one of the most special moments in the history of the Home Run Derby. It just reminded you of your dad tossing batting practice to you back in the day. Cano lifted 32 home runs that night.

3. 1999: Mark McGwire

McGwire wasn't going to fall victim to David Ortiz again, so he stepped up his game drastically in the 1999 Derby and belted 13 balls in the first round that didn't look like they would be visiting Earth again.

2. 2011: Josh Hamilton

Is a description needed? Hamilton went berserk in the first round with 28 home runs. There was a stretch where he actually hit 13 straight homers.

I give Abreu all the credit in the world for representing his nation and blasting 41 home runs in Comerica Park, a field that certainly is not known for its friendliness to hitters.
