Los Angeles is in a tight race in the NL West, and the team is reportedly in the market for some pitching. If the Dodgers do make a deal at the trade deadline, star outfielder Matt Kemp could be on the move. If Kemp is dealt, here are five potential teams he could end up with.

Detroit has been mentioned as a potential destination for Matt Kemp, but the reality is that a deal with the Tigers just wouldn't make much sense for L.A. Kemp could capably fill in at DH for Victor Martinez next season if needed, but the Tigers' outfield is crowded and Kemp wants to play every day. Acquiring Kemp would be a good move for Detroit, but they probably don't have the prospects needed to reach an agreement with the Dodgers.

The Yankees clearly need help in the outfield, making Matt Kemp a potential trade target. The Dodgers' outfielder has a massive contract, but New York has always been known for big spending, both in the offseason and at the trade deadline. A deal for Kemp would make perfect sense for the Yankees, as it would greatly enhance the team's playoff chances. New York might have the talent needed to get Kemp at the deadline.

The Dodgers could potentially put Kemp in a deal with Philly that would involve Cliff Lee or Cole Hamels. Los Angeles apparently doesn't want to trade away top prospects in their minor league system, which doesn't have that much elite talent anyway. The Dodgers are in the market for a starter, so it makes sense that the two teams could come together to make a trade. Kemp would fit in perfectly with his right-handed power at Citizens Bank Park.

Boston has the talented young pitching needed to strike a deal with the Dodgers, so the two teams are potential trade partners. Los Angeles is in the market for pitching, whether it be David Price or a few young prospects. With that being said, for Boston to agree to a deal for Kemp, the Dodgers would need to pick up some of the 7 million left on the outfielder's contract. If L.A. can do that, Kemp could be heading to Boston.

David Price is on the top of the Dodgers' list of players to acquire as the trade deadline nears, and it seems likely that Kemp will be dealt if an agreement is reached with Tampa Bay. Of all the Matt Kemp scenarios, the L.A. star being traded to the Rays is the most likely. Kemp wants to be able to play every day, something he can do for the Rays. The Dodgers need pitching, and Don Mattingly's club would love to add star ace David Price.
