If the Miami Marlins do find an ideal trade for third baseman Casey McGehee, where could he possibly land?

With the injury to Edwin Encarnacion, the Blue Jays are suddenly in the market for a third baseman. Although the team acquired Brett Lawrie, adding Casey McGehee could be a good deal given his contract.

A McGehee-Chase Headley swap could work for both teams. Headley could add some pop to the Marlins' lineup, while McGehee goes to San Diego to continue hitting in a big ballpark. However, a trade like this is not really ideal.

New York knows Casey McGehee well and could look to reacquire him. The Yankees could use a third baseman to replace Kelly Johnson or Zelous Wheeler at the position.

Conor Gillaspie is playing well for the White Sox as of late, but a solid addition like McGehee could do wonders. If the White Sox are looking to buy, Miami and Chicago could be a good match.

Realistically, I do not see the Marlins trading McGehee at the trade deadline or beyond. Miami needs someone to hit like McGehee does, and there is no one on the market who could replace him. Miami needs someone to get on base and produce runs. So far, McGehee is doing just that.
