Major League Baseball has some of the best franchises in sports. But as is true with every sport, there are some teams that could be replaced. These are 5 teams that MLB could do without.

The Los Angeles Dodgers franchise is one of the most historic in all of baseball, but recently the team has been using their deep pockets to buy practically any player they want, making the game less and less competitive. Because they are taking the competitive spirit out of the game, the Dodgers could be done without.

The New York Yankees are similar to the Los Angeles Dodgers, because they are one of the most historic franchises in baseball. They also buy all of their players like the Dodgers which keeps the Yankees competitive every year but not any other teams. Not to mention they employ players like Alex Rodriguez. The Yankees are the most hated team in the country, so it would not anger many of they were removed from MLB.

The Miami Marlins are a disgrace to baseball, because they spend all kinds of money on players to compete one year and then make unfair trades when they realize they can't afford the players they signed. This is unfair to all players around the league and the fans of their franchise. This may have more to do with the owner of the Marlins, Jeffrey Loria, but as long as he owns the team, MLB can do without the Marlins.

2. Tampa Bay Rays

The Tampa Bay Rays are an unfortunate situation, because they are a competitive team that does everything right but MLB can still do without them. The problem with the Rays is that they cannot get fans to come to their games. That leads to little revenue for MLB which is why the Rays would not be missed if they were taken out of the league.

The Arizona Diamondbacks are by far the team MLB could do without the most. The whole organization is classless. They whine and get upset over the smallest and most irrelevant things. They then overreact and retaliate in cowardly ways. This has happened to all teams in baseball at some point and has led to players, and star players at that, being injured and personally attacked. There's no room for that in MLB and no one would miss them.
