With his father Tom and brother Dee both major leaguers, this year's first round pick has baseball in his blood. The 18-year-old shortstop has shown he has belonged through his first 46 games in the Appalachian League. He has a .285 average with one home run and eight steals. He is expected to be a player the team can build around in the future.

With daunting size, Alex Meyer has a chance to be the most intimidating pitcher since Randy Johnson. In 24 AAA starts, he is 6-6 with a 3.37 ERA. He is ready and waiting for an MLB promotion.

Already viewed as a top ten pitcher in the minor leagues, Kohl Stewart has dominated his first season of pro ball. Although he is just 3-5 he has an ERA of 2.42 and has only allowed three home runs in 18 starts. At just 19 years old he could have a solid career in the spacious Target Field.

2. Miguel Sano

Even though he has not played due to Tommy John Surgery, third base prospect, Miguel Sano is one of the best power hitters in all of the minor leagues. Last year he hit 35 home runs, and looks to be a centerpiece of the Twins rotation for years to come. He has already draw comparisons to Miguel Cabrera.

With the second overall pick in 2012, the Twins feel they got a steal in Byron Buxton. Last year he became the best player in all of the minor leagues and was said to be the same caliber player as Mike Trout. Though has only been able to play in 31 games and has been shut down for the rest of the season due to injury, he is the most exciting player in all of the minor leagues.
