The regular MLB season for the Atlanta Braves is so up and down that most fans probably get a stress attack just thinking about where the team is going. That is not the case for their minor league system. For all of the inconsistency at the top level, rest assured that the Braves' top prospects are still some of the most promising in all of baseball. Here is a stock update for their five best prospects.

The 145 innings that Hursh has thrown so far in his Double-A season mark the most innings he has thrown and also the highest level he has reached. He has moved fast but the numbers look great. He has compiled a 3.23 ERA, 1.93 K/W ratio and has only given up four home runs over the entire 145 innings. Things are looking good for Hursh right now.

Davidson just got started in his professional baseball career, so there are not a ton of numbers to look at and the sample size is small. While that is true, his .681 OPS is a promising start for his rookie league seasons. He has established himself as a legitimate top prospect for the Braves which sends his stock up.

Evan Gattis is certainly a force to be reckoned with in the Braves' lineup at the MLB level. Bethancourt, however, is still on track to replace him as the starting catcher next season. He has eight homers and 45 RBIs in Triple-A this season as well as a promising stint in the majors while Gattis was on the DL. The team seemed to be in great hands with this rookie behind the plate during that time. His stock is through the roof right now.

2 – Lucas Sims – RHP: Stock Down

Sims has been the top prospect for the Braves for what seems like forever. This time around he has been replaced at the top of the list. His time at the A-advanced level has resulted in a higher ERA. Things are not bad for sure, but Sims does need a better showing next season. His stock drops a little bit.

Peraza's stock is up, and that's a huge understatement. He has a .341 average, .366 OBP, 60 stolen bases and 70 runs scored for his season which included a promotion to Double-A. He seems destined to be the starting second baseman for the Braves' MLB club no later than the start of the 2016 regular season if not before. He should be the first real lead-off man for the Braves since Rafael Furcal very soon and he is only age 20.
