For the first time in a long time, Josh Beckett looked like the guy who won World Series. After 20 starts, his 2.88 ERA was the best of his career. Unfortunately, he got hurt again. If the rumors of possible retirement aren't true, there will be some teams willing to take a flyer on Beckett.

Hiroki Kuroda is literally the only New York Yankees pitcher who hasn't been lost for most of the season (assuming Masahiro Tanaka's latest setback ends his). If he doesn't retire or play in Japan, he will be sought after by a team looking for a consistent veteran.
