The Philadelphia Phillies have been spiraling down since their World Series win back in 2008. Since then, they (in order) lost in the Series, lost in the NLCS, lost in the NLDS, went .500, then had two straight 73 win seasons. It is time for a full rebuild, but it doesn't seem like Ruben Amaro Jr. will do that. Still, there are going to be some big names who will be out the door.

Grady Sizemore actually have the Phillies more than what they thought he could have after getting cut by the Boston Red Sox. He still isn't worth it for the Phillies to bring him back. They need power out of their outfield spots. Sizemore just doesn't fit that bill anymore.

What a difference a season makes. Dominic Brown was the lone bright spot on a bad Phillies team last year. Now, he is just another bad player who gets too many at bats. The Phillies will find a way to dump him somewhere.

Ben Revere hit for a .306 average, and slugged .361. He is a pure singles hitter. He is also a very good center fielder. Someone is going to outbid the Phillies on him, and they will not like their return on investment.

A.J. Burnett is going to retire. He has been playing with that thought through the last two offseasons. After last season, it is official he probably needs to retire. He fell off the map after the Phillies gave him million to play this year.

Jonathan Papelbon is not happy in Philadelphia, and Philadelphia is not happy with Jonathan Papelbon. The match didn't work from the beginning. It is time to end the relationship between these two entities. It probably should have happened at the trade deadline.
