National League Division Series Game 3: Washington Nationals @ San Francisco Giants  (San Francisco lead 2-0)

Game Time, TV: Monday, Oct. 6, 5:07 p.m. ET, MLBN

Probable StartersDoug Fister vs. Madison Bumgarner

The Washington Nationals desperately need a win. Three to be exact. The San Francisco Giants find themselves up 2-0, and are looking to clinch the series in Game 3 of the NLDS.

This has been an extremely close series, but the Giants have found a way to win the first two games. They even managed to win Game 2, which went 18 innings.

With a combined series score of 5-3 in San Francisco’s favor, you could definitely say this has been a very low-scoring affair.

If the Nationals have any chance of winning Game 3 and extending this series, they have to get off to a fast start. Another Bryce Harper bomb would definitely swing the momentum in Washington’s favor.

Although Doug Fister is more than capable of taking over this contest from the start, Madison Bumgarner has already played one game in this year’s postseason. Not to mention, he was pretty impressive, as he pitched a complete game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. He also only allowed four hits, zero runs, walked one and struck out 10.

Regardless, the Giants have a lot of momentum entering this one. That tends to happen when a team leads 2-0 in a best-of-five series and just got done winning a ball game that went 18 innings.

However, Washington has to get a win, and it will live to fight another day in Game 3.

Prediction: Nationals 5, Giants 4
