No matter the sport, rookies will always be a point of hot conversation for those hoping some new blood will take the league over by storm. This spring, the Atlanta Braves will be evaluating a bevy of rookies and talented prospects competing for a chance at a roster spot. Check out these five rookies who may be the next future Braves star.

The Braves are planning on the possibility of a new-look outfield this season after Justin Upton, Jason Heyward and the continued struggles of B.J. Upton. Dian Toscano is a name to remember this spring, and possibly for a long time. Toscano may be a bit rusty as he has not competed professionally in a couple of years, however, he did hit .356 his last season of baseball which would be a great addition to a struggling offensive team.

The Braves have been dying for speed, and this guy brings that and much more. Perez has not yet received a full opportunity in the big leagues, and for a player who hit over .300 in the minors, he has less than 25 at-bats in the majors. He will have his chance to showcase his talents this spring and could be a much-needed addition to the Braves' outfield where he's noted as a stellar defender.

A pitcher with all the tools is rare to find. Now, he's a member of the Braves' organization. The catch? He's another Tommy John surgery player hoping to prevent a recurrence. A good showing this spring will at the very least assure him a spot in the bullpen as a long reliever, but the future is for him to be a member of the starting rotation.

The Braves could have possibly hit the jackpot this offseason by acquiring some of baseball's hottest pitching prospects. One of those included talented righty Mike Foltynewicz who is expected to compete for the fifth spot in the rotation this spring. While the favorite is clearly veteran Eric Stults, Foltynewicz will indeed challenge and just may be the final piece to the rotation.

It appears to be a recurring theme with Peraza, and if you've been following closely, you may finally catch my drift here. Peraza will have a colossal-sized microscope on him this spring, and for good reason. He's been great in the minor leagues, and Braves fans have been clamoring for him an entire year -- especially after having to witness the likes of Dan Uggla operating second base for three years. Be sure to watch him closely this spring.

Cubs and Braves Should Make This Blockbuster Trade

The Chicago Cubs and Atlanta Braves can both accomplish what they are currently trying to accomplish with this trade. The Cubs continue to build towards winning a World Series, while the Braves continue to build towards a strong future by stock piling prospects. Win-Win.
