Tim Hudson has been in MLB for a long time. The man is 39 years old right now and will hit the legendary 40-year-old mark on July 14. With that information, it should not be a surprise if Hudson decides to call it quits after this season, which seems to be the direction he is leaning toward.

According to FOX Sports’ Ken Rosenthal, Hudson is “definitely leaning” toward retirement. Who could blame him? He has given the game his all — what a career he has had — and he also has a family I am sure he would love to attend to every waking moment.

In Hudson’s time in MLB, he has racked up 214 wins and 126 losses. He also has a career ERA of 3.46. This season, he is 0-2 with a 3.91 ERA.

Things are not going according to plan for the San Francisco Giants, but at least Hudson was able to capture one World Series in his career (last year actually). That same destiny doesn’t look like it will follow the Giants this year.

Hudson is very capable of riding out another year or two or three, but when family comes knocking, I am sure that is very hard to pass up. Regardless, he has had a very successful career, he got his World Series win and calling it quits after this season seems like the perfect time to do so.

In the meantime, all we can do is enjoy possibly the last season in Hudson’s career.

Giants' Johnny Cueto Gets Nailed In Head With Line Drive

This was a rather bizarre situation. San Francisco Giants hurler Johnny Cueto was struck in the head by a line drive on his first pitch against Oakland on Monday. Instead of coming right out of the game to be examined, Cueto remained on the mound. After the game, he went to the hospital just to be safe. He's fine according to reports, but why Giants manager Bruce Bochy let him pitch is beyond me.
