5 Los Angeles Dodgers Who Deserve 2015 MLB All-Star Game Consideration

In the bright lights of L.A., superstars don’t go unnoticed. That’s especially true of the Dodgers who have baseball’s highest payroll. These five players on that payroll all deserve to be considered for selection into the 2015 All-Star Game.

5. OF Joc Pederson

.249 average, 17 HRs, 33 RBI. Pederson doesn't have the entire body of work of an All-Star, but he's been electrifying enough to warrant consideration for the All-Star game. He hits mammoth home runs on a weekly basis and is one of the most exciting players in the National League. His star power should warrant him a selection to the Midsummer Classic.

4. RHP Kenley Jansen

1-0, 0.82 ERA, 9/10 save opportunities. Jansen has been looked at as something of a hole at the closer spot for the Dodgers in recent years, but he has been electric this season. He has looked virtually unhittable at times and has converted 90 percent of his save chances. L.A. is going to need him to be equally good when October rolls around.

3. 3B Justin Turner

.321 average, 5 HRs, 24 RBI, 10 doubles. Turner is having himself a breakout season for L.A. and even though he doesn't have the same star power as some of the Dodgers' other sluggers, he's having one of the best seasons of anyone on the team. While his power numbers aren't great, he's consistently getting on base and driving the ball hard.

2. 1B Adrian Gonzalez

.307 average, 11 HRs, 43 RBI, 22 doubles. Adrian Gonzalez got off to one of the best starts in baseball this season and even though he's slowed down lately, he's still easily an All-Star in the National League. His power numbers are right up there with anyone else in the league and he's clubbing plenty of doubles as well. So far this year, he's definitely been the best overall hitter on the Dodgers.

1. RHP Zack Greinke

5-2, 1.95 ERA, 75 strikeouts. Of course since Clayton Kershaw isn't having as great of a year as he would've hoped, No. 2 starter Zack Greinke has stepped up and become the ace of the staff. He's definitely in the running for the NL Cy Young award as of right now and should get consideration for the starting nod in the All-Star Game.
