5 Atlanta Braves Who Deserve 2015 MLB All-Star Game Consideration

The fans of the Atlanta Braves are a little irritated with the team for shipping their so-called stars out of town, and they are letting their silence speak in the 2015 MLB All-Star Game voting. Not one of the Braves is so much as on the radar in the voting for the big game. They have not been so bad as to not have All-Star caliber players, so here are five players who should be getting the attention of Braves fans, if not others around MLB.

Pierzynski has been an absolute godsend behind the plate for the Braves this season. Only Buster Posey and Yadier Molina have a higher batting average in the NL, and Pierzynski is only a few homers and a dozen RBIs behind them in spite of the fact that they have a ton more at-bats. He might not be the most popular guy in the world, but he definitely deserves a little attention in All-Star voting.

Without a doubt, Freeman getting so few votes is disappointing. Sure, the team has not been quite as powerful, but Freeman is in the thick of the first base RBI race and batting right at .300 for the year. Considering the fact that more pressure has been placed on him this season as well, Freeman certainly deserves a nod for a spot on the team.

Just looking at the stats, Grilli has been a very valuable member of the Braves this season. He has an ERA just above 2.00, a WHIP around 1.31 and is tied for fifth in the NL with 18 saves. When you add to those stats the fact that he was walking into the shoes of the much beloved Craig Kimbrel this season and has basically outperformed his predecessor, he gets an All-Star nod.

Miller has been the absolute go-to guy for the Braves this season. With a 2.02 ERA and a WHIP just a tad over 1.00, he should be selected as one of the pitchers for the NL. He even got within a breath of perfection earlier this season. Someone has to take notice. Here's betting the St. Louis Cardinals noticed.

Someone who is a fan of the Braves or just of baseball altogether has got to watch what Maybin has been doing this season. He is within four big flies and a dozen RBIs of matching career highs in both categories with five and 33, respectively. If that doesn't seem like a lot, look at it another way. He is batting a heaving .462 with RISP and around .370 with RISP and two outs. Put him in there, people.

Playing right field at the major league level can't be easy, but it's probably easier when you've got Ender Inciarte playing next to you in center.
