All-Star games are all about the fan voting — well, that is at least the idea.
However, this year has been a little different. Here’s the proof: MLB has canceled over 60 million votes for this year’s All-Star Game.

Why, you ask? Apparently, the Kansas City Royals are getting too much love. This tweet will show you the massive amount of support the Royals have been getting:

I suppose I can see the issue here, and it’s amazing to think this hasn’t happened before.

Whether you agree with the current voting process or not, it doesn’t really matter — MLB has spoken by taking away a ton of votes.
For all it’s worth, the Royals did almost win the World Series last season, and they are off to a speedy start this season.
