Riding a three-game winning streak, the Los Angeles Angels find themselves three games out of first place in the AL West. Here are five players the Angels should target before the trade deadline to help them make a late-season push.

The Angels need offensive help in the outfield as their left fielders have combined to hit .220 on the season. Ben Revere would serve as a spark in the outfield as he boasts a .291 average along with 21 RBIs and 19 stolen bases. His name has already been linked to the Angels this season. What is even better is that he could be acquired for a relatively cheap price.

To say the Angels catchers are underwhelming would be an understatement. Their catchers have combined to hit .215 on the season. Pena could come in provide and offensive spark as he currently boasts an average of .298 and .366 on-base percentage. His ability to play both catcher and first base make him an even more appealing target.

3. Ben Zobrist

Zobrist has the ability to play second base as well as both corner outfield spots. This makes him quite appealing to the Angels who could use offensive help from any of those positions. The A’s are struggling this season and are set to be sellers. They have already started receiving calls regarding Zobrist. Don't be surprised if the Angels are one of them.

2. Carlos Gomez

The Milwaukee Brewers currently sit in last place in the NL Central at 36-48 and will be sellers at the deadline. Gomez’s numbers have been sub-par by his standards (.269 avg. 7 HRs 31 RBI’) which may persuade to move him and his good–sized contract. The Angels could use another productive outfielder, and Gomez could certainly fill that void.

The Cincinnati Reds will likely be sellers and the Angels could use a consistent top-end starter. Cueto can give the Angels a starter who can give them quality outings on a consistent basis. While Cueto’s contract ends at the end of the season, the Angels have the money it would take to re-sign him to a multi-year contract.
