With less than a week until the MLB trade deadline, the Los Angeles Dodgers have yet to make a move. The Dodgers are obvious buyers and expected to do something before the deadline, most notably acquire a starting pitcher to help fill out a rotation that already includes two stars in Clayton Kershaw and Zack Greinke. Here are the five biggest rumors involving the Dodgers leading up to the trade deadline.

Los Angeles is targeting some of the top players available on the trade market, but the Dodgers have said they won't be trading their top prospects, most notably Corey Seager and Julio Urias, and that stance has not changed. The Dodgers have a deep farm system and may be able to land a high profile pitcher without trading away Seager or Urias, but not including either in a deal will make it that much harder to pull off a meaningful trade.

There's been wild speculation over the past couple of weeks that Puig could be dealt in a potential blockbuster deal, but the Dodgers have all but squashed that talk by telling Puig that he will not be traded this summer. Obviously, Los Angeles doesn't want to shake things up too much at this point in the season, but Puig's value is also down significantly this season, so now wouldn't be the ideal time to trade him anyway.

In their quest for pitching, the Dodgers have had their interest piqued by the young pitchers in Cleveland. With Greinke likely to opt out after this season, Los Angeles would ideally like to trade for a pitcher who can help this year and is under team control beyond this season. Pitchers like Corey Kluber, Carlos Carrasco, and Trevor Bauer fit that description, but it may take a substantial offer to get Cleveland to make a deal.

There will be no Puig for Hamels trade, which is a rumor that surfaced for a few days, but there are strong indications that the Dodgers are the favorites to land Hamels if the Phillies decide to trade him. Los Angeles appears to have the motivation and the farm system to make a deal happen, and there's even been talk that Philadelphia is lowering their demands for Hamels. Of course, at this point nothing is certain.

Despite the Dodger's connection to Hamels, Price actually appears to be the team's top target. However, Detroit is unsure if they're going to be sellers at the deadline, as they may not even be willing to trade Price. The Tigers may wait until right before the deadline to decide if they want to move Price or not, which could make it difficult for the Dodgers to make trades before that if Price is indeed the pitcher they covet the most.
