Boston Red Sox Really Miss Andrew Miller

One of the best Boston Red Sox reclamation stories to happen recently was when they acquired Andrew Miller who was an absolute washout as a starter and realized that with his tall and lanky build, that his windup was what was holding him back. Once they made him a reliever, he turned into a different pitcher, and a dominating one at that.

Boston made the right move by trading Miller to the Baltimore Orioles because they got back Eduardo Rodriguez in return and Rodriguez is proving to be a very special pitcher who could be a very important piece of the starting rotation for years to come. Baltimore has to be kicking themselves because they no longer have Rodriguez or Miller.

It was painful to see Miller sign with the New York Yankees and watch the season that he has had so far. The Red Sox sure could use him now with Koji Uehara on the disabled list for the rest of the season. He also could have been very useful next season with Uehara now 4o years old and coming back from his wrist injury.

Stephen A. Smith, who I happen to find entertaining is somewhat of an uninformed individual as he made a recent comment about Miller, calling him a Yankee non-closer. Stephen, have you paid any attention at all to the Yankees’ season so far? If you had, you might notice that Miller has been lights out and probably could have been an All-Star. Perhaps if you spent less time yelling at Skip Bayless, you would have seen that.

If New York wants to give Miller up, Red Sox Nation would love to have him back.
