In an event that will surely shock the baseball world, former Atlanta Braves pitcher Tommy Hanson has died today after suffering from massive organ failure and slipping into a coma. Hanson was Rookie of the Year in 2009 after posting a 2.89 era with an 11-4 record.

Hanson was never able to return to form after dealing with rotator cuff issues. He had last pitched in the majors in 2013 and had been in the minors ever since. It’s not yet known what caused him to slip into a coma. Prayers to his family during this terrible time.

Cubs and Braves Should Make This Blockbuster Trade

The Chicago Cubs and Atlanta Braves can both accomplish what they are currently trying to accomplish with this trade. The Cubs continue to build towards winning a World Series, while the Braves continue to build towards a strong future by stock piling prospects. Win-Win.
