Wilson pitched solidly in 2015 (3.89 ERA), but August elbow surgery sidelined him for the season and there's concern over his shoulder already this year. He's due $20 million this season, so the Angels need a healthy return on that investment.

Pujols is already slated to start 2016 at less than full strength after November foot surgery, but there are tentative expectations he'll be ready to at least DH on Opening Day. Regardless. the Angels need Pujols in the lineup for 150-plus games.

Street finished 2015 with 40 saves, but he missed the end of the season with a groin issue and his K/9 rate declined late as his ERA rose. Injuries seem to crop up every year, but the Angels need Street healthy at the back of their bullpen in 2016.

2. RF Kole Calhoun

Calhoun hit 26 home runs, drove in 83 and was a Gold Glove right fielder last season. He's also a left-handed hitter who helps balance a right-handed heavy Angels lineup, so Calhoun has to stay healthy this season.

Just because it's obvious doesn't mean it's not true. Trout is the Angels' most important player, and he has to stay healthy for the team to have any chance to make the playoffs this season.
