The Mets were able to sneak up on people last year, but they won't have that same luxury this season. Such a relatively young team will have to handle the pressure that comes with being the favorites in 2016.

The Mets have a great closer in Jeurys Familia, but getting the ball to him may not be a certainty. Addison Reed and Antonio Bastardo are fine as setup men, but the Mets don't exactly have an elite bullpen.

Curtis Granderson was great in the leadoff spot last year, but he's not a base-stealing threat, nor is anyone else the Mets have. A general lack of team speed puts pressure on the Mets to hit home runs.

Travis d'Arnaud really struggled throwing out runners last season, something opponents exploited in the postseason. He must show improvement in that area this season or else the Mets will have a big problem on their hands.

The duo of Asdrubal Cabrera and Neil Walker is actually an upgrade from last season, but it still leaves the Mets below average up the middle. David Wright's defense is also somewhat in question with his back condition.
