Saying that the position of left field is thin this season in MLB would be an understatement. The competition might not be strong, but that shouldn’t take anything away from Yoenis Cespedes, the best left fielder in MLB going into the 2016 season.

Cespedes has struggled to find a long-term home, but everywhere he has gone he has made a positive impact (some more than others). He has his own style and swagger reminiscent of the swagger Ken Griffey Jr. made famous. Some find Cespedes a distraction, but there is no denying the skills he possesses, and here are five reasons why Cespedes reigns above the rest at LF.
