Derek Jeter Says Boston Red Sox Fans Have 'Softened Up' Since Winning World Series

New York Yankees legend Derek Jeter is making headlines over his appearance on ‘Late Night With Seth Meyers’ on Tuesday evening. Meyers is a lifelong Boston Red Sox fan, and naturally asked Jeter about the Yankees-Red Sox rivalry.

Jeter indirectly trolled Red Sox fans by claiming they have softened up since winning the World Series in 2004, 2007 and 2013.

“I can say this now that I’m retired, but Boston fans have softened up since you guys have won. And it pains me to say it but I almost … I won’t say it. I’m not happy you won, but you treat me a lot better.”

Jeter’s next trip to New England should be incredibly interesting.
