The Atlanta Braves are 10-29 right now, and they fired their manager this week. With an eye toward the future, here are five players the Braves must trade before July’s deadline.

Atlanta's offensive ineptitude is well known, but Markakis leads the team with 22 RBIs and is tied for the team lead in on-base percentage (.372). Even with two more years and $21 million left on his contract, Markakis could be on the move.
4. SS Erick Aybar

Aybar has posted a slash-line of .174/.207/.205 so far this season, and he's been equally bad defensively. His value may be at a low point, but in the final year of his contract, Aybar is definite trade bait for Atlanta.
3. 2B Kelly Johnson

Johnson is a veteran left-handed bat with position versatility. If he's not a prime trade candidate for the Braves, I'm not sure who really is.
2. C A.J. Pierzynski

Pierzynski is not hitting well right now (.207/.247/,253 slash-line), but he's 39 and playing on a one-year deal. Giving more playing time to Tyler Flowers should be a priority for the Braves, and unloading Pierzynski is the move to make it happen.

Teheran is widely regarded as trade bait for the Braves, and he's off to a nice start this year (2.73 ERA over nine starts). At 25 years old, Teheran would fit into Atlanta's rebuild, but he is also the team's most tradeable asset.
