Catcher's View Of Aroldis Chapman's 100-MPH Fastball Is Absolutely Insane

By Timothy Downs

No one in baseball receives less praise than catchers.

Unless they hit a ton of dingers like Hall of Famer Mike Piazza, or hit for a high average and drive in a plethora of runs like Buster Posey, catchers are like the Rodney Dangerfield of MLB.

But even with equipment on, catching is no easy task.

Check out what it’s like to see a 100-mph fastball from New York Yankees closer Aroldis Chapman coming at you first hand.

Yeah, no. Nope.

There isn’t enough body armor in the world to get us to sit in one of the Cuban flamethrower’s bullpen sessions, not even if Chapman was only working on his breaking stuff.
