Wild Pitch Somehow Gets Stuck to Yadier Molina's Chest Protector

By Jason Fletcher

During Thursday afternoon’s game between the St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cubs, something happened that we may never have seen before.

A wild pitch from Brett Cecil somehow got stuck to Yadier Molina’s chest protector which allowed Matt Szczur to reach first base.

Does anyone else wonder what substance was on the ball that allowed it to stick to Molina?
