Andrelton Simmons Makes Amazing Behind-the-Back Tag at Third Base

Andrelton Simmons has always been known as a tremendous defensive player, as evidenced by his two Gold Gloves while he was a member of the Atlanta Braves.

But now with the Los Angeles Angels, he’s still flashing the leather on the regular.

Add it to the resume, Andrelton Simmons. You are ridiculous!

From the initial catch and throw to first to his grab on the return throw while being taken out by a slide, Simmons somehow still had the presence of mind to reach behind his back while falling down and make a crazy tag on Seattle Mariners infielder Jean Segura.

This 5-3-6 double play is one of the best ways to get two outs at once you’ll see in MLB all season.
