Mets' Yoenis Cespedes Clobbers Three Home Runs In Offensive Onslaught Against Phillies

By Timothy Downs

The New York Mets absolutely pummeled the Philadelphia Phillies at the bandbox known at Citizens Bank Park on Tuesday, cementing a 14-4 win over their NL East rivals.

Cuban slugger Yoenis Cespedes led the way for the Metropolitans, pulverizing three home runs in his first three at bats.

It was an excellent night for the Mets offense, which was the team’s biggest question mark heading into the 2017 MLB season.
