Bryce Harper Blasts Grand Slam for Second Homer in Nationals' 14-4 Win

By Anthony Blake

Sure, it’s a small sample size, but Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper has been absolutely tearing the cover off the ball early in the 2017 MLB season.

And that crushfest continued on Wednesday night, as Harper blasted two more long bombs, the second of which was of the grand variety.

Bryce is so nice. 2nd homer of the night is of the grand variety. #PapaSlam

Early as it may be, Harper’s currently fourth in the NL in batting average (.404), second in home runs (6), and second in RBI (18).

He’s clearly mounting an early push for MVP honors, and with the catalog of highlights he’s already built up, it’s safe to say he’s the leader in the clubhouse at this point.
