Oakland Athletics RHP Kendall Graveman Makes Outrageous Unassisted Double Play

By Anthony Blake

In what may hold up as one of the wackier double plays in MLB all season, Oakland Athletics pitcher Kendall Graveman went full-on acrobat to retire two runners for the price of one at third base.

After catching Ben Revere in a run-down situation between third and home, Graveman charges him with the ball in hand and just so happens to meet Cliff Pennington as he attempts to slide into third base.

“Got this.” – @kgraveman

Talk about helping your own cause as a pitcher!

This was the textbook definition, though Graveman still managed to take the loss on the night.
