There’s a reason most bullpens in MLB are protected by the outfield wall and out of harm’s way when it comes to unexpected foul balls.

Unfortunately, the Tampa Bay Rays play in a park with no such luxury, but the Kansas City Royals‘ relievers can be thankful for at least one ball boy with some incredible glove skills.

Ball out, ballboy.

This liner from Royals catcher Salvador Perez would have surely caused some damage to either a pitcher or a spectator if not for the crazy leaping grab by an extremely alert ball boy.

The Rays could use a spark this season – why not sign this kid to a contract?
