Giants' Buster Posey Ends 17-Inning Marathon With Massive Home Run

Sometimes enough is enough, and that was the case in the bottom of the 17th inning between the San Francisco Giants and Cincinnati Reds on Friday night.

As Buster Posey stepped to the plate, the whole at-bat just had a feel of the end being near.

And the relief on his teammates faces as he approached home plate on the home run trot was obvious.

MLB marathons can be fun for the fan sitting in the seats getting their money’s worth, but for these guys suiting up nearly every day over the next five months, playing the equivalent of almost two games in one night is pretty rough.
