Tim Tebow Clobbers Massive Opposite-Field Home Run For Columbia Fireflies

By Timothy Downs

Tim Tebow isn’t having a great season thus far for the Columbia Fireflies, but has flashed glimpses of pop through his first 34 professional baseball games.

On Sunday, Tebow, 29, clobbered his third home run of the campaign to left center-field.

Apparently, in comparison, it took NBA legend Michael Jordan 92 more games to hit three home runs during his single minor league season in the Chicago White Sox organization.

If Tebow can raise his average a bit and hit with more consistency, the New York Mets have expressed a willingness to move him up a level, but his journey to MLB still seems unlikely.
